World Cancer Day launch: CLIC Sargent release positive-energy-inducing T-shirt designed by body confidence advocate Jules Von Hep
Jules Von Hep, known for his cult self-tan brand The Isle of Paradise, has designed a limited- edition T-shirt to raise money for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading charity for young cancer patients. The new project comes as Jules steps into his role as brand ambassador for CLIC Sargent.
With a career from working with Hollywood talent to changing the beauty landscape in diversity, body acceptance and raising body inclusive messaging online, Jules is on a mission to make others feel good. Jules champions self-love, body confidence and feel–good humour on social media – building a loyal following of individuals teaching them that life is about having fun, and always seeing the positive in a negative.
CLIC Sargent have launched the sustainably produced T-shirt as part of its World Cancer 2021 campaign focussing on spreading hope and positivity during these tough times. In the lead up to World Cancer Day, the charity’s social media channels have focused on four main words; strength, hope, unity and friends, to create a space of positivity online. These four words were selected by young people with cancer, who say they reflect what their experience was like.
Jules Von Hep said: “I am honoured to have been able to design this T-shirt for CLIC Sargent! If there was ever a time to look to optimism I feel now it’s now babe! I thought about every single time I have interacted with anyone via CLIC Sargent, whether it’s the young people who CLIC Sargent help, or the individuals behind the charity making incredible things happen I realised this charity is built on optimism, togetherness and hope.
“My work focusses on how we feel in our body whilst shining an optimistic light to my followers. I began receiving messages from young people during their cancer treatment telling me how my content and how Isle of Paradise was making them feel better: what a moment. The journey a young person goes through with their appearance is hard, but add cancer into the mix and that’s a whole different ball game. Something that I’ve observed from CLIC Sargent is that cancer affects young people more than we think, but the young people show such resilience and optimism, and how this stage in their life becomes such a defining moment in who they are.
“There is a negative in almost everything, but that means there is also a positive. Shine those optimistic rays down and lift one another up.”
Jules has been working closely with the charity since 2019. Last year, Jules and Isle of Paradise hosted an afternoon tea for six young women with cancer. The event was a chance for the young people to open up and share their experiences of various challenges from body image to friendship as well as the impact a cancer diagnosis has on young people’s mental health.
Jules also took part in the 2.6 challenge last year, where fundraisers completed a challenge inspired by the numbers two and six. Jules hosted an incredible 26-minute live kazoo-athon, encouraging people to donate and take part with him. His support of the charity has been invaluable from sharing campaigns to raising awareness for issues young people with cancer face.
Now, the charity is pleased to announce that Jules has officially come onboard as one of their celebrity ambassadors joining fellow supporters Jake Humphrey and Christine Lampard.
He said: “I am thrilled to be working with CLIC Sargent, and am proud to be an ambassador for such an amazing charity!”

Young people with cancer are sharing what it is that gets them through the tough times for this year’s World Cancer Day campaign and Jules’ design is the sort of thing to help us all stay positive.”
