Train, sleep, rest, recover, repeat

In the lead up to an event, it’s easy to become so focused on what’s going on during training that you forget about the importance of looking after yourself when you’re not running. Rest and recovery is often an element of training that’s easy to get wrong. Sometimes, we could be guilty of resting too much!

It’s important to steadily build up mileage and gradually increase the duration and intensity of training to match your ability and goals. Nutrition is also important – giving your body what it needs to repair, replace and recover so you can get the most out of your training.

Your body needs all the components for health and performance. Train intelligently, fuel correctly, and don’t neglect the importance of quality sleep and adequate rest!
