Citizens Advice helps people to solve their legal, money, housing and other problems. They run the Adviceguide website, and also provide phone and/or face-to-face support from Citizens Advice Bureaux across the UK.
Law Centres Network
The Law Centres Network brings together 54 law centres in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that provide free legal advice and representation to disadvantaged people. While the Law Centres Network does not employ lawyers itself, it can help connect young with people with their local law centre.
National Debtline, part of the Money Advice Trust, is a helpline offering confidential advice via phone and email to individuals from across the UK, enabling people to deal with their debts. They also run ‘My Money Steps’, an interactive tool that provides debt advice online.
StepChange Debt Charity
StepChange Debt Charity (previously the Consumer Credit Counselling Service) provides debt and money management advice. The ‘Debt Remedy’ tool on their website helps people put together the best solution to their debt issues.
Victim Support is a charity that gives confidential, free support to victims and witnesses of crime, as well as their family, friends and anyone else affected. They can be contacted through a network of local branches or their Supportline.
