Now a barman at JD Wetherspoon, Caillan is asking everyone to donate the cost of a pint to CLIC Sargent's Smiles at Christmas appeal with The Sun.
Going the extra mile
Barman Caillan Gallacher, 22, who works for The Counting House, Glasglow, said: “When I was diagnosed with cancer it came as a massive shock. The treatment made me feel so ill and I missed months school.
“I spent a lot of time in hospital but, thanks to CLIC Sargent, their nurses also treated me at home.
“They were always there for me and have gone the extra mile to help me.
“They even helped arrange my work experience at Wetherspoons - which led to the job I’ve got now.
“Sparing a few quid while you’re enjoying your pint in the pub will make a big difference - no matter how small your contribution is.”
Branded collection buckets can be found in JD Wetherspoon bars nationwide.
Every penny you give will support 3,800 families affected by childhood cancer this December.
Or you can donate online now.
