Every business that joined the digital marketing platform during September was given the opportunity to connect with CLIC Sargent via chariti.org.uk and make a £15 donation from the £79 annual fee.
A grand total of 37 local businesses raised an amazing £555 to support CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Daisy Turner said: “We’re so pleased Chariti.org.uk took on and smashed the £170 challenge for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and we’re really grateful to all the businesses who pledged their support.”
When a business joins the network, a profile page is created forming a central presence on the site. The listing comes with full company branding, photographs, videos, social media and web links and content to help potential customers understand their products and services.
Charities and business
Jonathan White, managing director of Chariti.org.uk and Traded Network, said: “The feedback we receive is fantastic from both charities and businesses, especially on how we are helping with the generation of new business relationships for the charities we work with.”
Chariti.org.uk writes and publishes the first advertising post, featuring specific keywords relevant to each business. This post appears in search engine results and is additionally announced to a considerable social media audience.
Jonathan added: “We’ve loved helping businesses grow through our online services and it is great to help raise awareness and funds for CLIC Sargent.
“Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to support children with cancer, and their families.”
