This year the concert will once again feature The Hospitals’ Choir drawn from a wide variety of people connected with the medical profession and The New Tyneside Orchestra, conducted by Adrian Hodgson.
They will be joined by King’s Priory School Choristers and Senior Choir, Tynemouth directed by Elizabeth Johnston, Highfield Middle School, Prudhoe directed by Lyndsay Gibson, The Choir of Saint Joseph’s RC Middle School, Hexham under the direction of Philip Rosier and Cullercoats Primary School choir directed by Katherine Raine. This year St Thomas More Catholic School, Blaydon will join in for the first time making this an event.
Hopefully the CLIC Sargent singers - young cancer survivors who have benefited from the support provided by CLIC Sargent and who will have attended the Summer music workshops organised by the music programme - will also make an appearance.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Engagement Manager Dee Tyler said:
“The committee who organise this event and all the people involved put an awful lot of time and effort into making sure this event is a wonderful experience for everyone who attends."
“Finally we would like to say thank you to Harry, aged five, with help from his sisters Grace and Lily, who created the lovely image we have used on the marketing materials. Harry created this picture after his last chemotherapy treatment.
"Put the date in your diary now and book tickets for the family for a concert guaranteed to get you into the Christmas spirit.”
