Ballyclare Secondary School pupils complete Readathon

Pupils from Ballyclare Secondary School have raised £2,030 by completing the Readathon challenge to raise funds for the CLIC Sargent Northern Ireland Homes from Home Appeal.

As their Readathon challenge, pupils in years eight, nine and 10 of the school were given the opportunity to read throughout all of their English classes for one week

On behalf of CLIC Sargent, fundraising manager, Fionnuala Savage, would like to thank all the pupils and teachers from Ballyclare School.

She said: “The money raised from the school will go towards the CLIC Sargent’s Homes from Home Appeal which will give families a place they can stay together free of charge whilst their child is receiving treatment in hospital.

"It’s a place where they can be together, away from the hospital ward, where they can feel at home and maintain some sense of normal family life.”
