This was the fourth year the club has staged the race which takes runners through beautiful Kent countryside and has become popular with keen runners in the area and those further afield.

Rotary president, Margaret Abram said: “I was delighted to welcome CLIC Sargent to the Rotary club of Sittingbourne Invicta's annual 10k race.

"As president it was an easy choice to have CLIC Sargent as my national charity. I have seen the terrific support the charity gave to friends when their little boy was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.

"CLIC Sargent attended one of our club meetings to give a talk on the charity's work. Everyone was very impressed with the range of support offered at the most terrible time for families and were very happy for me to choose CLIC Sargent as my charity.”

Fundraising Manager Hannah said: “We are absolutely thrilled that the Rotary Club of Sittingbourne Invicta has made this wonderful contribution.

"We really appreciate the hard work and generosity that has gone in to raising the pounds – every penny raised will help provide vital support for children and young people with cancer, and their families.”
