Marketforce, the UK's leading magazine sales, marketing and distribution company has chosen CLIC Sargent as it's charity partner of the year.

CLIC Sargent was nominated as a charity partner for Marketforce by employees Amy Golby and Nicola Gordon, who both have a personal connection to the charity. After a staff vote, CLIC Sargent was chosen.

Amy said: “My Uncle died from Hodgkin lymphoma in 2010. His first diagnosis was when he was only 15 and with the help of CLIC Sargent he managed to battle through this.

"I thought what better way to carry his memory on than to be part of a charity that meant so much to him.”

Nicola Gordon said: “At the end of last year my daughter Scarlett’s playmate was diagnosed with Wilms tumour.

"Eva is an absolute inspiration as she is showing such bravery and as a family they have received invaluable support from CLIC Sargent from day one.

"As such they want to raise awareness of CLIC Sargent and the fabulous work they do and also raise much needed funds to help them support other families.”

Marketforce fundraising events

Employees at Marketforce have already taken part in many activities including a Valentine’s Day raffle, Grand National sweepstake, quiz night and a bake-off.

Amy is also personally fundraising on JustGiving for CLIC Sargent by taking part in the London BUPA 10k and the Royal Parks Half Marathon.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Elizabeth Charing said: “We’re delighted that Marketforce have chosen to support CLIC Sargent.

"At the moment we can only support two out of every three children and young people diagnosed with cancer, and through our partnership with Marketforce we will be able to provide more support to families in the UK.”
