Cornish Pirates continue to support CLIC Sargent

The Cornish Pirates' partnership with CLIC Sargent continues as they allowed the charity to hold a collection during their home game against Bristol Rugby on Saturday 24 October, raising over £500.

Cornish Pirates continue to support CLIC Sargent

Throughout the 2015/16 season the Cornish pirates are supporting CLIC Sargent through various fundraising events, including bucket collections on match days.

It was a cold and wet start to the day down in Penzance but the sun came out eventually and so did the high spirited Cornish Pirates supporters, who had come to cheer on their side against a tough challenge of Bristol Rugby.

Unfortunately, the result didn’t go the Cornish Pirates' way but this didn’t stop their supporters being extremely generous and raising £529 for CLIC Sargent on the day.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Jordan Anderton said: “The Cornish Pirates' supporters, staff and volunteers were fantastic. They were all extremely generous with their donations and very welcoming.”

Making a difference

He continued: “I would like to say a big thank you to Will, Sally and Paula for volunteering on the day and showing so much enthusiasm and passion for the charity.

“The generosity of these volunteers and the Cornish Pirates will help CLIC Sargent reach its vision where every child and young person with cancer can live life to the full. Thank you.”
