Emma decided to fundraise for CLIC Sargent because of the support and friendliness her CLIC Sargent Social Worker, Lara has provided during her cancer treatment.

Emma’s dad, Darren said: “Both Emma and I were extremely nervous, and it was really nice to have Lara as a point of contact if we needed support. Emma feels like she has made a friend for life who personally cares about her.”

The raffle was held at at The Surprise Inn in Croydon. The pub sold 362 tickets at £1 each. Darren's workplace then matched the amount bringing the total to £724.

Darren said: “Emma and I loved giving back to CLIC Sargent and I would like to encourage people to donate to help children and young people with cancer receive support.”

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Elizabeth Charing said: “A huge heartfelt thank you to Emma and Darren for giving back to CLIC Sargent.

"It’s always wonderful to hear from our families about the support they have received and how we have helped them cope with their cancer diagnosis."
