Teneo Blue Rubicon wanted to do a challenge for CLIC Sargent and decided to take on the Tough Mudder. Impressively, over 40 colleagues signed up.
Charles Stewart Smith, Managing Director at Teneo Blue Rubicon, was one of the 45 employees to take part in this challenge. He said: “It was tough, and it was muddy. It was hell, and it was heaven.
"The joy of completing it was only slightly beaten by the thrill of busting our £10,000 target."
"The fundraising target was more important than I’d realised; it meant the whole company – all 250 of us in the UK (and some in the US) – were also part of our team, willing the 45 of us on who did it to make the course.
"When we reported back at our regular Monday Morning Meeting after the event that we had all finished and busted our target, the whole team erupted in cheers, as one. We had all done it – not just the muddy, creaking, bruised ones. It was wonderful.”
Over the past year of the partnership with CLIC Sargent, employees at Teneo Blue Rubicon have seen the unrivalled impact the charity has on families coping with cancer. They are very happy that their Tough Mudder has helped CLIC Sargent extend its reach.
