As part of their Viacommunity Day initiative, Paramount Pictures invited Ellie Mae and her mum, Nikki to a special screening of Sherlock Gnomes at the Paramount Offices in Chiswick.
The day featured a party with entertainment, activities, film characters and a photo booth. Following lunch, Ellie Mae and Nikki were able to watch a special screening of Sherlock Gnomes ahead of its UK release in May.
Ellie Mae was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in August 2012, aged just four.
Nikki said: “Thank you to all at Paramount Pictures and CLIC Sargent for the amazing time at the launch party for Sherlock Gnomes. Ellie Mae had so much fun decorating gnomes, making her own animations, enjoying the magician, meeting Sherlock Gnomes and of course the film itself.
“It was priceless to see all the children enjoying themselves, forgetting about the utterly awful times they have endured due to their health challenges, and making unforgettable, great memories. Acts of kindness like this mean an awful lot to families like us. Thank you again.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Engagement Manager Charlie Straker said: “A huge thank you from CLIC Sargent to Paramount Pictures for hosting such a fabulous event.
“The Viacommunity Day is put on to help give children and their families some time to relax and have fun, as well as a chance to socialise with other families going through similar experiences.”
