The University of Bath RAG raised a whopping £34,000 for their charity partners this year; CLIC Sargent, Bath Rugby Foundation, Forever Friends Appeal and Trauma Recovery Centre.
Bath University students have been fundraising with events such as a Hitchhike to Edinburgh, a Zombie Apocalypse, a team in the Bath Half of 100 runners and a Blind Date event. Over 2,500 students got involved in these events throughout the year, helping to raise the funds for the Big Four.
Louisa Peters, volunteer support coordinator at University of Bath Students’ Union, said: “I am always so impressed with the students involved with RAG and how much time and effort they devote to supporting their chosen charities.
"The amount they have raised this year for charities such as CLIC Sargent is incredible and everyone at Bath Student’s Union is very proud of them.”
CLIC Sargent Senior Fundraising Engagement Manager Tori Williams said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to Bath RAG and everyone who has taken part and donated over the past year.
"These incredible efforts will make a real difference to how CLIC Sargent can help young cancer patients thrive, not just survive.”
