Oxford Freemasons raises £2,500

The Freemasons Oxford Lodge No. 6691 raised a total of £1,695 at its ladies festival race night whilst the Oxfordshire Provincial Masonic Golf Society donated £705, bringing the total to £2,400.

This was later rounded up to £2,500 when the Oxfordshire Province went on to kindly donate a further £100.

Worshipful Master of the Oxnaford Lodge in 2012 and Secretary of the Golf Society, Mike Augar, said: “We are very proud to support CLIC Sargent’s Home from Home in Oxford; it is such a wonderful place for families to stay.”

Member of the Oxnaford Lodge and Chairman of the Golf Society, Paul Buck, added: “The support from fellow Masons is much appreciated to collectively raise such an amount for CLIC Sargent.”

As the representatives of the organisations, Mike and Paul visited the Oxford Home from Home to see where their generous funds would be spent.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall, said: “It is wonderful to be supported by the Freemasons in Oxford, thank you to Paul and Mike for your hard work in raising these much appreciated funds.”
