William Nutton was a keen supporter of CLIC Sargent and his friends and family decided to continue fundraising in his memory.
Tina organised a fun filled evening with sponsored beard shaves, leg waxes, a fancy dress competition, raffle and face painting.
As William was a popular customer at The Fox on the Hill, staff, customers, friends and family all turned up to help make the night a success.
The William Nutton Remember Me fund
The money raised will go into the William Nutton Remember Me fund which has been set up by William's family in aid of CLIC Sargent.
All donations received are kept together as one collective total on an online fundraising page, along with messages from friends and family.
The £1,457 raised in William’s memory could pay for a CLIC Sargent Nurse for a week whilst they coordinate clinical and non-clinical care for young cancer patients, to maximise the amount of time they can safely spend at home.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Elizabeth Charing said: “I would like to thank William’s friends and family for continuing to support CLIC Sargent in his name.
“I’d also like to thank everyone who was involved in the fundraising evening and to those individuals who had their legs waxed and their beards shaved.
“The money you have raised so far will go a great way in helping us to support more children and young people with cancer.”
