Two brave local businesswomen who belong to the Avanti networking group are getting ready to take part in in a charity boxing match on 11 October in aid of their chosen charity CLIC Sargent.

The charity boxing match will see Victoria Sharp of Avanti Tax Accountants and Samantha Brook of Suffolk social media go head to head with other Blue Collar boxers who have undertaken the challenge to get fit and get boxing for charity.

The event ‘Double Trouble’ is run by local entrepreneur and gym owner, Matt Brennan and will be held at Liquid nightclub in Ipswich on 11 October 2014.

Fighting fit co-founder of Avanti Networking and MD of The Avanti Group, Victoria Sharp says, “One night for six minutes is just a moment in time compared to a child going through cancer for months, years or even life.”

Every month, thousands of families deal with the devastating impact of a cancer diagnosis and its treatment. Cancer treatment for children is often gruelling and can start immediately, last as long as three years and take place many miles from home.

Samantha Brook, owner of Suffolk Social Media, is a relatively new member of the Avanti network and donates £5 per client per month to CLIC Sargent.

Samantha added: “I have been ill with chronic fatigue for some time now and I knew that I needed to improve my lifestyle, but I found it hard to get motivated. I’m inspired by the families who keep fighting in the face of cancer and now have the incentive I need to take on this challenge. When I saw Matt’s advert on Facebook, I knew this was something I had to do.”

Sam and Victoria have committed to raising £800 for CLIC Sargent and need your help doing this. For Corporate Sponsor packages contact victoria.sharp@avantigroup.uk.com or personal donations please go to her Just Giving Page.

Daisy Turner, CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager for Suffolk says, “Avanti networking have shown outstanding support for CLIC Sargent throughout the partnership but this challenge might be their toughest yet. We are thrilled that Sam and Victoria are so committed to fundraising for children and young people with cancer and we look forward to cheering them on in the ring next month.”
