Through the Zoopla.co.uk Charity Golden Goals initiative, West Bromwich Albion FC have secured a £5,300 donation for CLIC Sargent.

West Brom scores a £5,300 donation in aid of CLIC Sargent

At the start of the football season, Zoopla.co.uk pledged to donate £1,000 to six Midlands' charities including £100 to CLIC Sargent, every time Bromwich Albion FC scored during the 2012/13 Premier League season.

After the thrilling 5-5 draw with Manchester United in the last game of the season on Sunday 19 May 2013, West Brom's success on the field in their most successful Premier League season ever . This has provided a windfall for these local charities as a result of the generous pledge from Zoopla.co.uk and with 53 goals scored, CLIC Sargent will now receive £5,300.

Orlando Fuller, a CLIC Sargent Young Person Social Worker based in Birmingham, met Zoopla.co.uk's Head of Communications, Lawrence Hall on the pitch to accept the generous donation.

They each do great work and have much need for our support. ‘The Baggies’ have had a tremendous season and we're glad that our Charity Golden Goal Initiative has quite literally paid off for the local community.”
