Supporting CLIC Sargent

The group of around 15 people have joined together to design a garden for a 21 year old cancer patient who is being supported by CLIC Sargent and is often on crutches or in a wheelchair, finding it increasingly harder to leave the house.

The team are currently fundraising for their project through payroll giving and matched funding schemes as well as using their volunteering days to organise the garden project.

They have spoken closely with the family regarding ideas of things they would like in the garden, and the team have put together designs which they will take forward once they have raised the required funds.

Alongside their project, a group of 14 people from Deloitte Real Estate also took on the 24 hour Three Peaks Challenge in July, raising a fantastic £1,775 in aid of CLIC Sargent.

Kathryn Day, from Deloitte Real Estate said: “We have become more aware of the great work that CLIC Sargent does from the Young Philanthropy team within Deloitte and their choice to support the charity.

"We think the work the charity take on to support young people with cancer and their families is life changing.

"We are incredibly happy to have raised funds that could make a difference to people’s lives.”

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Elizabeth Charing said: “The family has been through a really tough time over the years and it’s fantastic that staff from Deloitte Real Estate are giving their time to help them directly, as well as raising money to support other children and young with cancer across the UK.”
