Cabaret show raises £882

Daniel Bartlett has raised £882 for CLIC Sargent by putting on a cabaret with his theatre friends.

Cabaret show raises £882

Daniel decided to organise the cabaret show to utilise his skills in event planning, and also use the opportunity to get back on the stage for the first time since his cancer treatment following his diagnosis last year.

The cabaret consisted of songs from famous musical theatre shows along with some that had been written especially for the show.

The cabaret included performers Daniel has worked with in the past, from musical theatre shows such as The Book of Mormon and Top Hat.

The money that Daniel's cabaret raised could pay for a CLIC Sargent Social Worker for a week whilst they meet children and young people with cancer, and their families and help them to understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Nicola White said: ‘This is such a fantastic way to raise money for other children and young people with cancer and will really help CLIC Sargent to support more families.’
