Innovative app, DrugStars, reminds young cancer patients to take their medication - and donates to charity

CLIC Sargent is the second UK charity, and the first UK cancer charity to partner with DrugStars, an innovative app that reminds users to take their medication and lets them review their medication directly in the app.

Innovative app, DrugStars, reminds young cancer patients to take their medication - and donates to charity

Every time app users take their medication, they collect stars that they can donate to charities for free. DrugStars converts the stars into pounds and donates them to the charities.

Giving back

Ruth Hall, Partnerships Development Coordinator said:

"This is a great and easy way for users to give back to charities that have supported them or causes they care about, at the same time as being a useful tool to remind them to take their medications on time. For every star that users donate to CLIC Sargent, we receive a 1p donation."

DrugStars has recently launched in the UK after growing success in Denmark. The feedback on medication can improve the lives of other patients as well as improve health products around the world.
