Heather said: “We worked between 10am and 4pm without a break, offering a range of treatments including manicures, pedicures, back and neck massages to mini facials with all the money paid for the treatments being donated to CLIC Sargent.
“Customers received a lovely heart thank you in appreciation of their support.”
Makes a difference
£279 could pay for a family to stay in a CLIC Sargent Home from Home for more than a week.
Many families in Essex have to travel to London for treatment and having the use of Paul’s House, the Home from Home near to the treatment centres, means that the family can be close to their child under treatment. One parent described it as being as near to home as you can get whilst not being in your own home.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Karen Roberts said: “‘We are thrilled that Heather and Cassandra chose to support the work of CLIC Sargent in this way and as you can see it really does make a difference.
“What better way to raise money than to sit back and have someone pamper you – everyone’s a winner!”
