This year, Weil, Gotshal and Manges launched its first ever ‘Pay-It-Forward’ initiative, a team charity challenge program developed to raise funds and build awareness for employee-nominated causes across the globe. Each team is provided with £750 in ‘seed’ money, to drive a larger fundraising initiative for their cause.
Staff from Weil, Gotshal & Manges London office, decided to fundraise for CLIC Sargent, as one of their colleagues has seen first-hand the support that the charity provides for children and young people with cancer and their families.
In September, after weeks of meticulous planning, the London team finally launched their Brunch Box as part of the ‘Pay-It-Forward’ initiative. Each week they delivered three types of Brunch Boxes, each containing a different combination of tasty and healthy snacks and treats.
Each person who bought a Brunch Box or made a donation was entered into a grand prize draw to win one of many prizes. Some Brunch Boxes even came with a golden ticket which meant that some lucky people won instant prizes.
For each Brunch Box they sold, they donated around £8 to Paul’s House. In their first week they took orders for over 150 boxes, which meant that many of the team members spent their Friday evening filling the Brunch Boxes! For the following three weeks, the team delivered perfectly assembled and beautifully branded boxes of delicious goodness to people in their offices.
The team worked extremely hard and raised a fantastic £2,918.70 to support the CLIC Sargent Home from Home, Paul’s House.
