The committee are working hard to raise awareness of childhood cancer throughout the area by selling gold ribbon pins throughout Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and encouraging everyone to "go gold" this September to support CLIC Sargent.
Throughout September, companies such as SWM Recycling and The Commadore Hotel will be going gold – wearing gold ribbon pins or holding their own gold themed event.
Operations Director at SWM Recycling, Martin Mogford, said: “SWM are proud to support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We are selling gold ribbon pins, helping out at the Big Bucket Collection at Tesco's Barnstaple this Saturday and running a raffle to help raise funds.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Stephanie Cherington-Rimmell, said: “Our North Devon Fundraising Committee are fantastic. They work tirelessly to raise vital funds and I hope that even more people will support us during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
“Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a great opportunity for schools, businesses, universities and communities to show they are standing by children with cancer.”
