Barclays get Wiggy with it for young cancer patients

Barclays branches across London and Middlesex teamed up this May, donning their brightest and wackiest wigs, to raise vital funds and awareness for children and young people with cancer. They managed to raise an amazing £740!

Barclays get Wiggy with it for young cancer patients

Barclays has shown a tremendous amount of support to CLIC Sargent over the years, and when they found out about Wig Wednesday they couldn’t wait to get involved!

This year, we saw the Clapham Junction, Worcester Park, Surbiton, Balham, Mitcham, Teddington, Tooting, Wallington and Sutton branches get their wigs on and raise a fantastic amount of money for young cancer patients.

Thank you

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Verity Gallagher said: “It was amazing to see so many Barclays branches pull together and support CLIC Sargent during Wig Wednesday.

“£740 is a great amount to raise and could help pay for a CLIC Sargent Support Worker for a month. They will aim to meet families soon after diagnosis to help them understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer, through treatment and beyond.

“Thank you to everyone at Barclays for your support.”
