The team is planning a special charity quiz spurred by the Summer Sixes Darts League, a charity darts league which in its 11th year has now raised £44,000 in support of children and young people with cancer.

Colin Freeman, a member of the Greyhound Public House Darts team has also pledged to attempt a six hour darts marathon and will aim to play for six straight hours and reach a score of 100001!

Colin said: “With the Summer Sixes Darts League final taking place in September, I wanted to organise my own, unique fundraising event - just as many other teams are - to raise even more money for a charity that has helped so many families in Suffolk and around the UK.”

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Daisy Turner said: “We are thrilled that Colin has decided to undertake such a unique challenge.

"Every day, ten children and young people hear that they have cancer; which is why all the Summer Sixes’ fundraising is so important for helping us to continue supporting them and their families.”
