Darts league hit the bull's eye to raise over £50,000 for CLIC Sargent

Colin Green, Chairman of the Suffolk Summer Sixes Darts League, gathered more than 30 pub teams across four divisions together to fundraise for the annual tournament which this year raised £5,750.

Mr Green said: “The league is extremely proud to be a committed supporter of CLIC Sargent and we are thrilled to have raised £50,575 for them over the last 11 years.

"This money has been raised through pub collection tins, raffles and wrestling matches in the past, but this year included a Dartathon. We’ve already got plans in motion for next year’s tournament!"

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Daisy Turner said: “We are so grateful to Colin for his passion and determination to improve the lives of children and young people with cancer and to all the teams who took part in the Summer Sixes Darts league.

"Last year, we provided 67 families with support here in Suffolk, which is why the continued support of the Summer Sixes is so important.”
