After choosing to support CLIC Sargent as their charity partner for the year, David Wilson Homes staff have so far raised £5,873 by having weekly dress down days and hosting a charity auction at their Christmas party.
As well as raising funds, employees are going the extra mile to raise awareness for young cancer patients, by attaching CLIC Sargent keyrings to each new set of house keys given to buyers and encouraging them to donate.
Give something back
John Dillon, managing director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have managed to raise more than £5,500 for our charity partner CLIC Sargent.
“This is a fantastic charity that works tirelessly to support young people whose lives have been turned upside down by a devastating cancer diagnosis.
“As a local housebuilder we want to give back to the local community and support local charities wherever we can and we look forward to raising more funds for the worthy cause.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Lydia Buckmaster said: “We’re thrilled to have the fantastic support of David Wilson Homes and are very grateful for their donation.
“It’s been great working with them and we’re looking forward to continuing the partnership during 2017.”
