Rachael becomes a life-shaver

Rachael Carn-Stevens from south east London has raised almost £800 for children and young people with cancer by taking part in CLIC Sargent’s The Big Buzz.

Rachael becomes a life-shaver

Rachael was joined by her friends and family for her Big Buzz event at the Green Dragon Pub in Croydon on 26 April.

The Big Buzz is CLIC Sargent's hair-related fundraising event, encouraging people to get creative with your hair to help raise funds.

Rachael said: “I've been lucky that no one I know has had cancer, but thought I could still shave my head to raise money to help those children and young people with cancer that are going through it.”

Rachael quickly smashed her fundraising target of £200 and has now raised almost £800 for CLIC Sargent.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Elizabeth Charing said: “A huge thank you to Rachael for getting behind this campaign. Becoming a life-shaver is a great way to raise vital funds and show your support for children and young people with cancer.”

Thank you to Rachael and all of her friends and family who helped to raise this fantastic amount.
