Great Mums Get Together on Guernsey raises nearly £8,000.

Great Mums Get Together on Guernsey raises nearly £8,000.

The event

The event was held on the 3 March in association with CLIC Sargent’s Great Mums Get Together, a nationwide campaign that gives women the chance to come together to raise money for the charity.

The sell-out event was held at the Duke of Richmond Hotel where guests were invited to enjoy afternoon tea, a glass of complimentary bubbly and a selection of mini spa treatments, manicures, and massage treatments in the ‘Area of Indulgence’.

Guests also delighted in browsing the different boutique stalls that were selling a great selection of handbags, jewellery, shoes, housewares and homemade cakes.

A percentage of the proceeds from each stall were donated to the fundraising event.

An impressive charity raffle and surprise auction of two tickets to a Robbie Williams concert also helped boost the total amount raised.

Saffery Champness director, Lisa Vizia said: “We made sure we had a lot of raffle tickets available on each table and as soon as everyone sat down for tea, money began flooding in filling our collection buckets. It was very exciting!”

Fundraising success

Chair of the CLIC Sargent Guernsey branch, Belinda Netherton said: “I would just like to add my thanks to Saffery Champness for all they have done to enable this event to take place.

“All the money raised will go towards the maintenance and running of CLIC Haven, a Home from Home that provides accommodation for Bailiwick families whilst their children are undergoing treatment at Southampton General Hospital."

Over the past year, Saffery Champness has helped to raise approximately £28,000 for CLIC Sargent helping us to support children and young people, and their families.
