Dragonfly ball raises £2,500 for young cancer patients

The Dragonfly ball was organised in aid of CLIC Sargent and Queenscourt Hospice in Southport.

Jackie organised the ball in memory of her daughter, Kayleigh, who sadly died in June 2013 aged 23. Kayleigh’s best friend, Charlotte, helped Jackie to make the ball a huge success.

Jackie said: “We want to do a charity ball every year to raise awareness of cancer in young adults as Kayleigh didn’t want anybody to have to experience what she went through. And by doing so we are keeping Kayleigh’s strength and memories alive.”

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Vicki Moore said: “Jackie and Charlotte did a fantastic job of organising the Dragonfly ball. The evening was a great success.
