Supporter laces up walking boots for CLIC Sargent

On 14 May, Craig Bradley laced up his walking boots and started his 186 mile walk of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Also known as ‘That Poetry Bloke,’ Craig has been a full time poet and performer for eight years, visiting hundreds of schools every year delivering fast, funny, interactive and inspiring poetry workshops.

Craig’s coast to coast walk took him to nine primary schools along the way, engaging them in poetry with his workshops, in return for support and fundraising for CLIC Sargent.

The epic walk kicked off at Stepaside Community Primary School, Kilgetty, where pupils and staff gave Craig a warm send off and a generous donation to CLIC Sargent. Along his route, Craig received tremendous support from local schools that joined him for stints of the walk, pledged donations to CLIC Sargent, and even offered school fields to camp in.

After 11 walking and poetry filled days, Craig completed his challenge on 25 May raising a fantastic £800 in support of children and young people with cancer.

A huge thank you goes out to Craig for his commitment and stamina, and all of the schools who supported him along the way; Stepaside Community Primary, Manorbier Primary, Stackpole Primary, Angle Primary, Pennar School, Broad Haven Primary, Solva Primary, Roch Primary School, St Ishmael.
