St Ebba’s raises funds for CLIC Sargent

St Ebba’s hospital has raised over £900 for CLIC Sargent with a fun day and Wig Wednesday.

Staff and residents from Shieling celebrate their fundraising

Staff and residents at Shieling, part of St Ebbas Hospital in Epsom, raised over £900 over two events, a food sale in December last year and by taking part in Wig Wednesday 2014.

Christine Price-Ephraim from Shieling said: "It was a wonderful event enjoyed by all the people who use our services, their families, friends and members of staff. Everyone who took part had a great day and we are delighted to have raised such a lot for a great cause!"

The hospital is close to the Royal Marsden Hospital, Epsom where CLIC Sargent funds a team of Social Workers who provide vital practical and emotional support at a very difficult time for families.

Dan Powell, Area Fundraising Manager at CLIC Sargent said: "A huge thank you to everyone who took part in Shieling’s fundraising! Without your support we wouldn't be able to continue to help the ten children and young people who are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK."
