Dorset Knights Scooter Club raises £700 for CLIC Sargent

The event was held at The Rising Sun pub near Shaftesbury, and the sun shone on what was a very successful day of fundraising.

The club members were joined by over 100 scooter enthusiasts and locals, whom enjoyed a great day and evening of food and entertainment, all thanks to the Dorset Knights.

About the club

The club, established in 2007, attend rally’s and ride-outs and involve themselves in charity fundraising.

Members of the club hold quite a collection of Vespa’s and Lambretta’s between them, and some of the members have been riding since the early 80’s. Customisations of the scooters include a Betty Boop inspired scooter, a Michelin Man customised scooter, and of course some kept it real with the original mod look!

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Joy Morley said: “We are so grateful to the Dorset Knights Scooter Club for organising this event, and I really want to thank them publicly for their amazing effort.”

Club secretary and one of the organisers Jan Francis said: “I would like to thank all the other scooter clubs that attended, and everyone that helped and donated to make this a great event.”

Everyone is welcome!

The Dorset Knights Scooter Club meets at The Rising Sun every month, usually the last Friday, unless there is a rally on. For more details, please get in touch with Daver on 07903 861 593.
