College students rock out for CLIC Sargent

Higher Nation Diploma students at Walsall College in the West Midlands have hosted a buffet with entertainment to raise money for CLIC Sargent.

College students rock out for CLIC Sargent

The Catering and Events Management students were tasked with organising the evening as part of their end of year project.

The students chose to organise a buffet of jacket potatoes with a choice of two fillings followed by entertainment in the college auditorium featuring local band, ‘The Assist'.

All profits from the evening’s entry tickets and from the raffle were donated to CLIC Sargent, totalling an incredible £600.

Team member and Walsall College student Charlotte said: “We chose to support CLIC Sargent because cancer is something that will touch everyone at some point but when it involves children it is even scarier.”

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Anna Finnegan said: “We are very grateful to the students at Walsall College for choosing to support CLIC Sargent, the event was so well organised and the band were great too!”
