The school's walk fundraiser raised over £3,000, pupils walked 20k from the school grounds in Chislehurst, Kent to Greenwich Park and back again.

They have lots of activities planned for the rest of the school year, with a fundraising walk in May and a Pamper Party at the end of the year in July.

Mrs Lisa Burke, House and Extra-curricular Coordinator said: “At Beaverwood School we are passionate about raising money for our chosen charities."

"It is important to ensure that our students understand... how they can make a difference to the lives of others."

"I choose to support CLIC Sargent following the amazing support they provided to my family during the time that my nephew Jack Girling was receiving treatment for cancer.

"I am pleased to say the he is now in good health and is in his second year at Sussex University studying English. I cannot thank CLIC Sargent enough for the support we were given at this difficult time and will continue to support you in the future.”

Elizabeth Charing, Fundraising Manager at CLIC Sargent said: “It is wonderful to have the fantastic support of Beaverwood School’s staff, pupils and parents.

The money they have raised could pay for 20 families to stay for one week in Paul’s House, one of CLIC Sargent's Homes from Home based in London.
