The four free events, held in Milton Keynes, Glasgow, London and Manchester, were attended by over 450 delegates and looked at key business issues impacting legal firms.

Steve Arundale, Head of Professional Sectors for NatWest Commercial Banking asked delegates for donations in return for the 3.5 hours of free 'continuing professional development' (CPD) value earned at the event.

Steve said: “Delegates were requested to make a donation only if they thought the event was of good quality and had delivered personal benefit. As a result, we have raised £1441.87 for a very worthwhile cause.

"Two years ago my 12 year old son lost a good friend to cancer and it was great to help a charity that supports children who are fighting this cruel disease.

“This is the fourth year that we’ve been running our legal conferences with Huhwaites and it was great to be raising money for charity as well as continuing our support of the legal sector.”

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Nicola White said: ‘Thank you to Steve and the conference attendees for raising such a fantastic amount which will really help to support children and young people with cancer in the future’.
