Club members came together for their biggest charity day of the year, to bake cakes, play games, hold an amazing auction and raffle, and of course show off their golfing skills.

Supporting CLIC Sargent in 2013

Chesfield Downs Golf and Country Club has been organising fundraising events for CLIC Sargent since the beginning of 2013 and will continue to support the charity for the entire year.

On 22 May, ladies from the club organised a ‘Toupee to play’ fundraiser as part of CLIC Sargent’s national event, Wig Wednesday, and wore wigs or had their hair dyed for a fun round of golf.

Money was raised during the event by creating penalty fines for when the ladies hit their golf balls into hazards. They also sold photographs taken of the day which boosted the amount raised to a fantastic £160.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Lucia Martinez said: "It has been an absolute pleasure having Chesfield Downs Golf and Country Club show their support so far. They have shown an inspirational amount of new ideas and we look forward to seeing what they will come up with for the rest of year.’’
