Freddie's disco raises £1,500 in support of his little cousin

Five year old Freddie organised the disco at Pelsall Methodist Church in April. Freddie’s mum, Kerry, who helped to organise the fun event said: “My two year old niece was diagnosed with cancer last year which was devastating news for our family.

"CLIC Sargent has been so supportive throughout this difficult time, so the whole family has been fundraising to try and give something back.

"Freddie and I decided to try and raise money, while also hosting an event where the kids had loads of fun!”

The disco included a second hand toy stall, tombola, hook a duck, lucky dip and refreshments. There was also an auction for special days out, including a family ticket to the West Midlands Safari Park.

Over 70 people attended all digging dip to help support Freddie with his fundraising efforts. Supporters can also still donate to Freddie's disco via JustGiving.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Anna Finnegan said: “Freddie has done a great job fundraising for CLIC Sargent; I know that his mum worked especially hard to help him host this disco and I would like to say a big thank you to Kerry for that.”
