Paice family raise over £1,800

Fantastic events from a coffee morning to football matches and a golf day have all been held this summer to raise money for the UK's largest cancer charity for children and young people.

Paice family raise over £1,800

Michael and his wife Lisah-Jane Paice from Kent have been hosting a summer of events for their friends and family to raise money for CLIC Sargent. It is their way of saying thank you for the support they've received since their daughter was diagnosed with cancer.

The football matches were held on the 10 August and an amazing time was had by all. Eight teams participated with each given a fancy dress theme. The family welcomed a team of clowns, 118 118 men, monopoly pieces, builders and most importantly, a team wearing CLIC Sargent t-shirts!

Despite these events having raised a fantastic £1,868, the family are thinking about hosting even more events in the autumn to add to their already amazing total.

Mum Lisah said: "We were overwhelmed by the support we received from friends and family, work colleagues and even friends of friends."

Hannah, Fundraising Manager for Kent and East Sussex said: "What a wonderful way to fundraise for CLIC Sargent. The £1,868 raised could pay for two families to stay at one of CLIC Sargent's Home from Home for a whole month. Thank you to everyone who supported Michael and Lisah-Jayne in their quest to raise money."
