The Hawthorns Surgery receptionists raises £221

Receptionists from The Hawthorns Surgery, Sutton Coldfield, have raised £221 for CLIC Sargent by donating a cash Christmas gift given to them and also baking and selling cupcakes in aid of the charity.

A grateful patient from The Hawthorns Surgery thanked the Practice staff for their hard work with a cash Christmas gift.The team decided, with the patient’s blessing, to put the gift to good use and donate it to CLIC Sargent.

Wanting to do more, Becky Webster, Receptionist at the Practice, organised a cupcake sale to raise even more funds.

Majella Horabin, Office Manager at The Hawthorns Surgery, said: “It is fantastic to be able to support such a good cause like CLIC Sargent, not only did we raise extra funds we also ate fabulous cakes!

“Childhood cancer is a cause close to our hearts and we know CLIC Sargent will be able to help more families thanks to our donation.”

CLIC Sargent would like to thank all the staff and patients for helping to support children and young people with cancer.
