To get into the Halloween spirit during the raffle, staff donned a range of creative costumes, from a pumpkin, to Minnie Mouse, to Spiderman!
The raffle raised £966 and the Branch managers kindly made up the total to £1,000 with their personal donations. Arnold Clark Head Office agreed to match this amount, resulting in a wonderful £2,000 donation for CLIC Sargent.
Lynsey McCann, who works on the Service Desk, arranged the raffle event with the help of her colleague Yvonne. Lynsey said: “I have had two close friends lose their fight with cancer and they benefited greatly from CLIC Sargent and their services.
“The reason for this raffle was for our work colleague whose daughter was diagnosed with leukaemia and CLIC Sargent has provided accommodation and support, as they live in Inverness and are now based in Glasgow for treatment.”
A phenomenal amount
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Rachael Mclean said: “This is a phenomenal amount to raise with a raffle, and I’d like to thank everyone who has taken part and contributed to the success of the event.
"Special thanks to Lynsey and Yvonne for all the effort they put in to make sure there were a number of attractive prizes on offer at the dealership.
"At our Home from Home in Glasgow, Marion’s House, families who would otherwise need to travel long distances for their child to receive treatment are offered free self-catering accommodation in a homely and supportive environment.”
