The TORI team was inspired to support the charity as its specialist CLIC Sargent Nurses supported Ben, the son of Nigel Crutchley, a close friend of the firm, throughout his treatment for a brain tumour.
Sadly Ben died in 2012 aged just nine-years-old. Nigel and his family set up the ‘Benny Boy Crutchley’ fund in his memory, and have pledged to raise £1million for CLIC Sargent. Now, the funds raised by TORI Global are set to take the family closer to their goal.
Nigel said: “Every day 10 families are told that their child has cancer.
I am committed to raising money for CLIC Sargent, which does such a fantastic job of supporting families like ours.
Peter Mann, chairman of TORI Global, said: “The Crutchley family had incredible support from the charity and have done so much through their own fundraising to improve the lives of others in a similar situation to date. This is our way of showing our support for a fantastic cause.”
The TORI team raised £50,000 for its previous charity partner, the Samaritans.
