Air Training Corps 2418 Squadron raises £972.43

The Air Training Corps 2418 Squadron from Sherwood, Nottingham has presented a cheque £972.43 to CLIC Sargent after fundraising for the charity in memory of the Corporal's best friend who died of cancer earlier this year.

A number of cadets on the squadron got involved with raising money for CLIC Sargent. Some had their heads shaved for sponsorship, while others contacted local businesses for raffle and tombola prizes. Staff arranged the function room and refreshments which were kindly donated by local Sainsbury's stores.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Nichola Doran collected the money from the squadron at a special presentation.

She said "We really appreciate the generosity of friends and family to give to others in this way, especially when they have lost someone they care about. Thanks to everyone that contributed!"
