The ball, held at Tern Hill Hall Hotel, hosted over 130 guests from the surrounding community to raise an incredible £5,500 for CLIC Sargent. They were treated to a superb Elvis tribute act, a ‘Beat the Eggheads’ competition and auction, followed by dancing in a beautifully laid out ‘casino’ style room.
"Now that Molly has finished her treatment I know there are many other children with cancer and their families who need to be reached.”
Chris Hughes, of BBC 2 TV show Eggheads, said: “We are so happy to be here and support such a worthy charity, us Eggheads aren’t just quiz nerds, we are nice people!”
Dave Rainford of the same show said “It is great to support a fantastic charity and to help raise the profile of the fantastic work that CLIC Sargent are doing in the community.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Anna Finnegan said: “It has been another great event organised by the Noden family and we are so grateful to them and to everyone who attended on the night, donating as generously as they did.
"I'd also like to thank another star from the night Jane Davis who became a lifeshaver for CLIC Sargent by shaving all her hair off!"
