A few months ago three supporters took on the challenge of a lifetime - to summit Kilimanjaro.
Standing at 5,895m, it is the highest free standing mountain in the world and marks the roof of Africa. This was not an easy task but we are so thrilled they all made it to the summit.
To date, Laura Brown and brothers Mark and Geoff Cawley have raised a fantastic £17,000 to support children and young people with cancer.
Laura was inspired to climb Kilimanjaro in memory of her brother Andrew.
Laura said: “CLIC Sargent was there for my big brother Andrew, throughout his battle with a brain tumour.
"He was the happiest guy alive when CLIC Sargent granted his wish to go to the Grand Prix at Silverstone, as he absolutely loved Formula 1.
"The experience lifted Andrew's spirits at a truly terrible time, and we will always be grateful that CLIC Sargent gave him these happy moments in the last months of his life.
"Climbing Kilimanjaro is by far the most physically challenging thing I have ever done. Without Andrew as my inspiration I’m not sure I would have made it through the final summit night.”
Mark and Geoff's story
Also joining Laura were brothers Mark and Geoff Cawley who were trekking in memory of Mark’s daughter.
Mark said: “I knew I wanted to do something special this year in memory of our daughter who died from childhood cancer aged 18 months.
CLIC Sargent helped my wife and I with CLIC House and personal support when Niamh was in hospital.
"After an email advertising the Kilimanjaro trek I was honoured when my brother Geoff asked to join me.
"I raced a Half Ironman distance triathlon followed by trekking up Kilimanjaro and finished with the Bristol to Bath marathon. It has been a busy year with a fantastic amount raised.
"Our families did so much to help with the fundraising events and I would like to thank them and everyone who supports CLIC Sargent.”
