Grandmother raises £1,300 for CLIC Sargent

Jill and her family went through one of the biggest challenges of their life when her five year old grandson was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Soon after his diagnosis, Jill's family was introduced to a CLIC Sargent Social Worker based at The Children’s Hospital in Sheffield who helped to support the little boy and his whole family, helping them to cope with the situation.

In June, Jill and her family decided to organise a fundraising market stall to raise funds to help CLIC Sargent support more families like hers. With the help of their local community they managed a fantastic result, raising £1,327.95.

The amount that Jill has raised could pay for a CLIC Sargent Nurse for a week whilst they provide clinical and non-clinical care for young cancer patients.

Thank you to everyone that was involved in raising this incredible amount for children and young people with cancer.
