Leave a gift in your Will
Writing your Will can help give you peace of mind for the future - knowing that your loved ones will be provided for as much a possible. That's why we've teamed up with Farewill to offer our supporters (you!) a free online Will service.
With 1 in 8 of the children and young people we currently support being funded through gifts in Wills, we know how important it is to plan for the future. No matter what the future brings, we need to still be there for young cancer patients and their families.
We understand that you’ll want to think about your family and friends first when making your Will, which is why there’s no obligation for you to leave a gift to CLIC Sargent if you use one of our Will-writing services. However, if you are also able to remember us in your Will, your gift, big or small, will help to stop cancer destroying young lives and will help us to be there for children with cancer long into the future.
To get you started, we’ve pulled together a quick, easy to follow guide on how to write your Will:
If you are thinking about remembering CLIC Sargent with a gift in your Will, here are four simple steps to help guide you:
1.Read our info booklet
Request for your free information booklet to be emailed to you by filling out the form below. It has everything you need to know, including the different types of gift you can leave and the incredible impact your gift could have on the lives of children and young people with cancer.
2. Think about those you’d like to remember
Think about family, friends and the causes you would like to remember in your Will. We know you’ll want to look after your family and friends first. But after your loved ones have been provided for, we hope you’ll find a place for CLIC Sargent in your Will. Any gift, large or small, can make a huge difference.
3. Write your Will
As a CLIC Sargent supporter, you can do this for free online through our partnership with Farewill, who will be able to provide you with professional support – including live support from their online Will specialists and a free checking service by legal professionals. Visit Farewill now by clicking here and start your free online Will.
This offer is currently only available to supporters who live in England and Wales.
Contact a Solicitor
If you’d prefer, you can also contact a Solicitor and amend or write your Will in person or over the phone (The Law Societies in England/Wales or Scotland or Northern Ireland are a good place to start). We always recommend seeking legal advice to ensure your Will meets your specific needs and circumstances.
4. Leaving a charity gift?
Make sure your solicitor has our registered address and charity numbers so they can accurately record a gift to CLIC Sargent in your Will:
No. 1 Farriers Yard
77 – 85 Fulham Palace Road
London, W6 8JA
Registered Charity number: England & Wales – 1107328, Scotland – SC039857
