Volunteers are our people power in the community. They help at exciting one-off events, spread the word about CLIC Sargent to pockets of the community we can’t reach, and raise money through bucket collections.

Could you be the face of CLIC Sargent in your local community supporting our fight for young lives against cancer?
Become a CLIC Sargent speaker and be our voice, assisting with fundraising and awareness raising activities near you.
What you will be doing:
- Promoting the work of CLIC Sargent by organising and giving talks and presentations
- Proactively approaching local companies, groups and organisations in order to organise speaking opportunities
- Collecting cheques from community groups, businesses and organisations – saying thank you and giving a talk on behalf of CLIC Sargent
If you are passionate about the work of CLIC Sargent, confident and articulate and enjoy meeting people this will be a great role for you.
You will need to be over 18 and able to commit some evenings and weekends.
As Fundraising Engagement Volunteer you’ll be helping to raise awareness and increase income to CLIC Sargent by supporting the fundraising team. Your role will be to help support local events and help represent the charity in your local community. This role is varied, very flexible and essential to ensuring CLIC Sargent’s presence is felt far and wide.
Just some of the things you might be doing include:
- Support with organising fundraising events in your area
- Representing the charity at events and cheque presentations
- Organising and participating in bucket collections
- Placing collection tins in various locations
- Raising awareness
You will need to be over 18 and have a good knowledge of your local area, enjoy meeting and talking to people and have a positive attitude.
Every year our collection tins sited in businesses around the country raise thousands of pounds to support our fight for young lives against cancer.
As a Collection Tin Coordinator, you will be crucial to ensuring that the collection tins in your area are well managed and be the face of CLIC Sargent to the businesses where they are sited.
What you will be doing:
- Seeking out new locations for collection tins,
- Building relationships with people at tin locations
- Placing and replacing tins four times per year
- Counting and banking donations
If you enjoy meeting people, are numerate and highly organised then this role will be ideal for you.
We will ensure that you receive the right training and support for you to feel confident in your role.
We need to maximise our fundraising to ensure that we can continue our fight for young lives against cancer and in this role you will be key in finding new opportunities and building fundraising contacts.
This vital role is flexible and can be undertaken from home allowing you to fit in with other commitments.
What you will be doing:-
- Use your local knowledge and research skills to build a list of potential supporting groups, organisations and businesses, as well as larger companies based in in your area
- Researching current Charity of the Year partnerships and finding out when they renew
- Looking up Community or Charity Champions for businesses
If you enjoy researching and collating information, are organised and like a challenge then this role will be great for you.
We will ensure that you receive the right training and support for you to feel confident in your role.
Could you use your local knowledge and great communication skills to raise the profile of CLIC Sargent in your community and spread the word about our fight for young lives against cancer?
This role is flexible, and you will be able to adapt it to your availability and the opportunities in your area.
What you will be doing:
- Approaching local businesses and community groups encouraging them to get involved and letting them know about CLIC Sargent
- Putting up posters and leaving key information with businesses, on community boards and in public spaces
- Building relationships with local media including newspapers and magazines to help promote our activities
- Using social media to spread the word about CLIC Sargent events and campaigns
If you are over 18, outgoing, enthusiastic and happy to approach new people and groups to spread the word about CLIC Sargent this role will be perfect for you.
Thanks to our partnership with Morrisons supermarket we have the opportunity to raise an amazing £8 million over the three year relationship. To make the most of this incredible partnership we’re looking for volunteers to join the team.
What will I be doing?
- You’ll be the first point of call for your local Morrisons store
- You’ll represent CLIC Sargent at in-store fundraising events and spread your passion for our work
- You’ll use your relationship building skills to help Morrisons raise money to support our work.
We’ll make sure you have a full induction to CLIC Sargent, training and ongoing support from a dedicated volunteer manager. This role is so flexible you can even fit it around your weekly shop!
