The last 12 months have been tough for everyone, but especially for children and young people with cancer. So in 2021, we need you to pick up the skipping rope and show your support with the Skip-a-thon Challenge on Saturday 15 May!
Support young cancer patients
We are not telling you this will be easy – but we know it’s nothing compared to the challenges faced by the families we support.
The Skip-a-thon Challenge on Saturday 15 May is a virtual Facebook Challenge. Simply join our Facebook group, set up your Facebook fundraiser and register for a fundraising pack. You’ll get a free t-shirt from us, and encouragement from thousands of other participants through the Facebook group.
The Skip-a-thon Challenge will go ahead despite the current lockdown restrictions! We ask that you make sure you respect the guidelines at the time of the event. Please be responsible and get in touch if you’d like any advice.
Unfortunately, Facebook does not allow under 18s to set up a Facebook Fundraiser. However, under 18s can still take part with a guardian!
Facebook fundraisers are one of the easiest ways to collect your sponsorship. All donations come directly to CLIC Sargent so you don’t have to worry about admin or bank transfers. Facebook do not charge us for this service, so 100% of your donations reach us!
Set your page up in just a few seconds by clicking here. Use ‘CLIC Sargent Skip-a-thon’ as your title and set your end date to 1 June 2021.
Yes, of course! The more the merrier. Just share the Facebook group link with anyone who would like to join.
Unfortunately we cannot ship our fundraising packs outside of the UK but we would still love to have you on board! Join our Facebook group to take part.
Sadly, Facebook does not yet allow people without an account to donate to their fundraisers. If you think most of the connections who would like to support you do not have Facebook, you may be better off setting up a JustGiving fundraising page. Remember to use the title ‘CLIC Sargent Icebath Challenge’ so we know you’re there!
Our Facebook group has a number of rules relating to the challenge, which can be found in the “About” section. Anyone found to break these rules will potentially be removed from the group on a permanent basis.
